Had a great experience taking 2 SUPs out. Quick and easy process, accepts cards, and friendly service. Would recommend arriving no later than 1pm since they close at 3pm and the lowest rental tier is for 2 hours. ($35/ 2hr)

Excellent experience all around from start to finish! First time SUP's and we had a blast!

Good price for kayak rentals and a beautiful view from the water.

It's the best place to get kayaking, single, tandem, or even canoeing on twin lakes!! A business that has been there for 20+ years. Taking care of all customers and being absolutely righteous about it at all times!!! If you want my opinion, show up early and take the 4 hour rental. You can explore the top lake all you want, or, you can go between lakes and visit the historical Interlaken hotel. Only accessible by lake or by hiking. Just remember this is an ancient glacier. Prepare for all weather and conditions including wind, and you will have a blast! We love ya Johnny Canoe!! Owner and operator, and just for the record I've been kayaking through this company for years. I think I lost count at about 30 times

Johnny is awesome - very knowledgeable and experienced with paddling twin lakes and very nice! Equipment was great and right on the water. Will definitely rent from him again!

Had a great experience! Johnny Canoe was very friendly & helpful. We went on a cold, rainy day & decided we had had enough & went in after only about an hour of our 2 hour rental. He offered to either give us a credit or pick out some jewelry pieces he has made to make up the difference. He totally did not have to do that, as it was our choice to pack it in early. Would definitely rent from him again!

The best place to rent kayaks/canoes in Twin lakes. Johnny and Thalasha are very friendly and are just by the shore making the rental process simple and easy. Within no time, we were out on a beautiful adventure.

Thrilling, beautiful, seclusive kayaking on a senic lake in the Colorado Mountains! We were the only one on the lake! Came in the afternoon and want to do early morning next time!!

I rented a paddleboard here. The guy who helped me was not the owner, but helped run one of the locations. Very accommodating and friendly, and knowledgeable about weather patterns and water behavior. I would rent from here again in a heartbeat.

Jeff is amazing. Very knowledgeable about the water. Caring of the people looking to rent. If you have to talk with John, it is not a great experience. He is the owner, as he will let you know. Get past that, and let amazing Jeff send you out for a fun filled couple of hours.

We went to Twin Lakes for the second time yesterday. We went back because it's so convenient -- you don't have to take the boats anywhere on top of your car, as they are right on the water ready to put in. Also, it's incredibly beautiful there. I agree with what a few others have said about Johnny. He is quirky but he is not all that hard to deal with if you look at him as a local character and not as a customer service rep. Jeff on the other hand is just amazing. Always friendly knowledgable and kind. Overall we really like this place and we will return again. One tip: They are VERY busy mid day on the weekend. If you want your pick of equipment, show up at 9 AM on a weekday.

I've travelled to Colorado a lot, and renting kayaks from this place is one of the best ideas i've ever had. The location and scenery were outstanding, and the service was top notch. Jeff got us set up with a paddleboard and a kayak, gave us a great lay of the land and recommended a great route for our two-hour rental. I would do this exact same event on all of my future visits to the area. 5 stars for service, scenery, and professionalism.

Once you get past some of the difficulties of dealing with Johnny, all is good. We enjoyed a fine couple of hours of kayaking.

My friends and I rented kayaks and a paddle board from Johnny Canoe. He told us how to use the gear, how to spot inclement weather, and more. He was funny and nice and let me reserve the gear in advance! My friends and I will be back later this summer for sure. Thanks Johnny & co!

Beautiful day on the lake with excellent views. My husband and I rented 2 single kayaks for 2hrs. Equipment was in great shape and launching was easy.

I really love this place..we had such a good time and they were very helpful. We loved our paddleboards. We will definitely come back.

Best experience we've had renting a paddle board! They gave good instructions on how to use the board, a safety briefing and a talk on how the weather affects the lakes. Also allowed us to return the board after they had closed with no additional fees giving us plenty of time on the lake.

Those expecting high level customer service might be disappointed. This no-frills operation offers basic vessels, oars, life jackets in a do-it-yourself style. Experienced customers will likely do fine. Not for the inexperienced or those needing assistance. The prices are more than fair. Tons of fun to be had!

My friends and I had a great time out on the water with our paddle boards! Jeff was amazingly helpful and kind. He was able to answer every question and even give us helpful recommendations. It was a very pleasant experience and we were pleased that safety and fun were his two biggest priorities. The water was so peaceful and calm that we could see in the water the reflection of the mountains! My friends and I would recommend this paddle boarding experience to anyone who is wanting adventure, the most scenic of views and a good time on the water!!

Spent a wonderful morning canoeing with the grandkids. The scenery was stunning and the lake was beautiful! Great service! Would have preferred not to have to include credit card information on a paper form!

We rented two kayaks and a canoe last August. Johnny is a great guy, very personable and knowledgeable. The lake is GORGEOUS-- very peaceful. We had it all to ourselves most of the day. And you are literally kayaking right at the base of Mt. Princeton-- breathtaking. My kids agree that it was their favorite adventure ever.

We can't wait for our next CO vacation so we can do it again!
